Wallet Recovery

If you have lost access to your Brillion wallet or you got hacked, you can easily recover it by using the Recovery tab.

The recovery process will follow the rule for recovery that you have previously set. When setting the recovery rule or rules, you will need to specify the number and type(s) of credentials required to restore your lost Smart Wallet.

This process is designed to be simple and straightforward. By following the established recovery rule, users can quickly regain access to their digital identities and associated assets.

Setup

In case you haven't set up the recovery process for your wallet, its interface will appear as follows:

To proceed, click on the Set up button. Alternatively, you can go to your profile and select the Security option.

  1. Click on the "Add more" button to begin the process. You can add as many confirmations as you wish.
  2. Choose the desired confirmations from the list by clicking on them.

  1. Choose the number of confirmations you want to add for the recovery process.
  2. Click "Save" to finish. The more confirmations you add, the more options you will have to recover your wallet in the future.

You can also add your connected web3 wallets as part of your recovery process for added security.

Now the Recovery setup has been completed and your identity is protected.

Recovery Process

Once you already went through a recovery setup, you'll be able to recover your wallet should the need arise.

There are two ways to recover your identity:

  1. From the login screen, click "here to recover your identity?"
  2. From inside the app, go to your profile, click on your identity tag, and select Recover.

After that, you'll need to select your chosen credentials that you set up during the recovery process.

  1. Select the amount of necessary social credentials from the list.
  2. You can also select an external web3 wallet to recover your identity.

Finally, select which of your identities you are trying to recover.

Success! Now you can resume your activities with your newly recovered identity.
